10 Year Limited Warranty
LIMITED TEN (10) YEAR WARRANTY
NGOS warrants this new product against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of Ten (10) years after the date of installation. NGOS also warrants that the shed substantially conforms to the quality and workmanship of the display shed of the same model which may have been shown to you by the authorized NGOS dealer from whom you bought the shed. This warranty does not apply to used or clearance products, see provisional warranty for those items. This limited warranty extends only to defects in materials or workmanship and does not extend to any product or part which has been discarded by you or to damage to your shed caused by misuse, accident, improper maintenance, improper use, vandalism, or to units which have been altered or modified without the authorization of NGOS. NGOS will not be liable for the natural characteristics of some wood to split, warp or twist. Some materials on your building have warranties from their respective manufacturers which are beyond NGOS’s 10- year limited warranty. These material-specific warranties are handled by the respective manufacturers of these materials and are not provided by or serviced by NGOS. This warranty becomes immediately void when a NGOS shed is converted into a habitable space or finished out, whether by a subcontractor or by the buyer and is not used in its stated purpose as a shed, since NGOS cannot verify or warranty alterations to the structure during the finishing process. This limited warranty does not extend to acts of God, including but not limited to tornadoes, hail, and floods.
STEP-BY-STEP PROCEDURES TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE
To obtain warranty servicing, you should contact NGOS within thirty (30) days of finding a defect in your shed. You must provide: 1. A copy of the bill of sale or other proof of purchase 2. A description and picture of the defect 3. Picture(s) of the material damage or workmanship flaw Purchasers may call with any questions. Failure to meet the responsibilities as outlined in the “Your Responsibility” section or failure to follow any warranty procedures as set forth in this document will void this limited warranty.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY The above warranties are subject to the following conditions: 1) You must retain your bill of sale or provide other proof of purchase. 2) You must notify NGOS at the address shown in the Step-by-Step Procedures within thirty (30) days of discovering a defect in your shed. 3) All warranty servicing of the product must be made by NGOS or its agent. 4) You must perform routine shed maintenance including, but not limited to: a) Sealing pressure treated wood every 24 months b) Adjusting door and window latches as needed c) Keeping vegetation from growing around your building d) Keeping the area under and around your building drained and dry e) Re-leveling adjustments from natural settling due to ground conditions 5) You are advised to provide a gravel or concrete foundation for your building. If you do not have such a foundation, we will set up your building on concrete blocks. In doing so, you understand that settling over time is a normal part of the building maintenance and re-leveling due to this settling is not covered under this warranty. You can do this yourself with a handyman jack and shims, or NGOS will re-level your building for a reasonable fee. 6) Do not set anything against or affix anything to the exterior of your building. Keep all mulch and shrubs at a minimum of 12 inches away from building exteriors. Use lattice or other vented skirting around the bottom of your building and do not seal the area under your building as this will result in mold and mildew and voids the warranty. All warranties implied by the state law, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are expressly limited to the duration of the limited warranties set forth above. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you, with the exception of any warranties implied by state law as hereby limited. The foregoing express warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, guarantees, agreements, and similar obligations of the manufacturer or dealer with respect to the repair or replacement of any product or parts. In no event shall NGOS be liable for consequential or incidental damages. No person or company is authorized to change or extend the terms of this warranty.
